Bothriolepis may rarely appear in both Biomes, spawning in medium to large schools. They swim in a synchronized motion and flee from the shark on sight.

- Bothriolepis is a species of placoderm fish.
- This makes it one of three placoderms to appear in Hungry Shark Primal, the others being Materpiscis and Dunk.
- The fish that appear on Thal's ability icon seems to be several Bothriolepis.
