Cosmic Alan, an alien shark, is the sixth Apex shark to be introduced in Hungry Shark World. The first teaser for Cosmic Alan was shared on Twitter, offering a sneak peek at his design. The second teaser revealed his complete appearance and showcased his abilities. Cosmic Alan represents the third version of Alan, Destroyer of Worlds, mutated and marks his debut in Hungry Shark World (excluding the dead Alan Easter egg). The frozen Alan Easter egg found in the Arctic Ocean remains in the game and can be perceived as Cosmic Alan himself or any other shark.

The price

Cosmic Alan and Abyssal Shark are currently among one of the most expensive sharks in the game, priced at 8000 pearls each. However, there are occasional sales and deals where you can purchase Cosmic Alan for a discounted price of 5000 pearls. Unlike Shin Sharkjira, Cosmic Alan doesn't require the ownership of the preceding shark to unlock him. This means that you can unlock Cosmic Alan directly without having to purchase Shin Sharkjira first. You can acquire Cosmic Alan even without unlocking any other Apex Shark, as long as you have enough pearls to make the purchase.

Powers, Abilities, and Diet

Cosmic Alan can fly without the need for a jetpack or boosting. His button charges quickly, allowing him to create a small black hole called Black Hole Sun that draws in and kills prey. As the black hole absorbs more prey, it grows larger and more powerful, but comes to pay the price of slowing down the shark. When the black hole reaches its maximum potential, pressing the button again triggers an explosion similar to Mecha Sharkjira's ultimate ability, though slightly smaller in scale. Cosmic Alan has lower health and bite strength but repays for it with tremendous speed and an average boost capability. This trade-off may be due to the fact that his abilities are more potent than those of Mecha Sharkjira and Shin Sharkjira. Cosmic Alan can consume and destroy virtually anything in the game. When he dies, he explodes like the Zombie Shark and his Alpha form. However, he can also revive once for free, making him the first shark to possess the unique ability but also, excluding the Nurse shark prior to her global release. The explosion caused by Cosmic Alan's death is even larger than those of the Zombie Shark and his Alpha form, potentially killing slightly more prey, even off-screen. The black hole created by Cosmic Alan can be utilized to kill enemy sharks and jellyfish if they have stung or bitten him. But his ability button does not require food to charge and charges very fast, taking only around three seconds or so. This, combined with his capacity to destroy anything, devour everything, and self-revive, makes Cosmic Alan one of the most extraordinary sharks in Hungry Shark World, if not the most exceptional thus far. It's difficult to determine whether Cosmic Alan will be one of the last sharks to be introduced in Hungry Shark World. He has the ability to consume virtually anything in the game. However, if the game experiences lag while using the black hole ability, Alan may be vulnerable to being bitten or attacked by other prey and sharks. His health also drains rapidly despite having relatively low health, making Mecha Sharkjira and Shin Sharkjira more effective choices in certain situations. Nevertheless, some players argue that this drawback may not significantly impact the overall gameplay experience.

The Black Hole Sun Ability

• Black Hole Sun: When you press Cosmic Alan's skill button, his main ability is released. A a power similar to that of a black hole, which absorbs things and almost instantly destroys them. This is capable of destroying anything, including mines, red jellyfish, and Lion Jellyfish.

Swim (On Air) Ability

• Stellar Swim: Cosmic Alan has the ability to swim in the air, unlike Mecha Sharkjira and Shin Sharkjira, he doesn't need to boost to fly. He can simply 'swim' in the air. His bio also mentions this ability.

The Quantum Explosion Ability

• Quantum Eyes: This ability can be activated when the Black Hole Sun ability is in action, Alan does a roll animation when using it. The Quantum Eyes ability cause an enormous explosion from Cosmic Alan's body/eyes, which destroys any edible on the screen similar to the Mecha Sharkjira. The downside is that Cosmic Alan cannot eat prey for 3 seconds after using the ability, so the consequences are that while Cosmic Alan doesn't eat prey, he also loses multiplier of points.

• Explosive Revival: When dying for the first time, Cosmic Alan can revive himself once for free. There is a random chance this ability will activate; sometimes it may not activate at all, or up to 2-4 times in one round if you are lucky. This ability is part of Cosmic Alan's Quantum Eyes.

• Explosive Death: Cosmic Alan can explode when dying, killing everything all around him, giving you some extra points, similar to the Zombie Shark and Alpha Zombie Shark but a much stronger explosion like Mecha Sharkjira's ultimate ability along with the free revive. Perhaps sometimes there are chances to get Double Explosive Death, so maybe you might get a free revive twice, in one single go. This is also a part of the Quantum Eyes.

Appearance

Cosmic Alan mainly resembles his normal self, except that he has nine yellow eyes: one on the forehead, two on the skull, and three smaller ones on each side of his head. Cosmic Alan has two cockroach-like antennae and a larger body compared to his normal self. His head is short and large, while his long body showcases red lights running across his green scales on the back, resembling a red glowing machine. The lights seem to flicker slightly, similar to a robot. It is possible that Alan may be a genetically modified frilled shark with mechanical upgrades, as his bio in Hungry Shark Evolution suggests he is bio-engineered.

Regarding the rest of his body, it is predominantly dark purple with a hint of green at the tail's end, which is adorned with spikes. In contrast to his normal form, Cosmic Alan has tail spikes that curve upward, similar to another transformation of Alan known as Aaron, the Destruktor. He also possesses long arms or legs at the front, resembling crab-like pincers and bearing a resemblance to mantis limbs. His back fins, frill fins, and tail spikes are orange.

His underbelly consists of several open parts leading to his interior. He has six more eyes. Adjacent to his right eye, he has three incredibly small eyes, and the same is true on the other side, next to his left eye. His middle eye, located on his middle head, is noticeably large. Finally, Cosmic Alan has an elongated head that extends towards the back of his neck, curving upwards. Despite its short length, it bears a resemblance to the design of Xenomorphs, with Cosmic Alan's head being notably shorter in comparison.

Pros and Cons

Cons:

• The cost of 8000 pearls is very expensive, requiring a significant amount of time to achieve. (However, it can be on sale for as low as 3000 pearls)
• When the Black hole become bigger, the speed is slower.
• The explosions pause eating for 3-4 seconds, resulting in the loss of the multiplier.
• Cosmic Alan has lower bite strength and health compared to Mecha Sharkjira.
• Shin Sharkjira and Mecha Sharkjira still outperform Cosmic Alan, rarely.
• Boost regeneration is ridiculously slow.
• The shark's health drains extremely fast, similar to Dark Magic Shark.
• The free revive ability does not always activate reliably.
• Sales for Cosmic Alan are rarely available.
• In the Gaia Update, ability cooldowns were slightly nerfed to 5 seconds from 3.
• Can't eat Red Jellyfish and black hole sometimes makes them sting you, you might lose multiplier.
• There's a bug that might lag his eating after use of black hole explosion when destroying submarines or helicopters or being bitten by enemy sharks. It's very rare, but if it happens, you won't be capable to eat.

Tips

• Use your Black Hole ability when flying in the skies of the Arabian or South China Sea. Doing this can help you eliminate many birds, trigger instant gold rushes, gain numerous points, and accumulate a substantial amount of gold.
• Utilize your explosion ability just before you're about to die. It may result in health regeneration and restore nearly 50% of your health.
• Avoid using the Black Hole ability for an extended period when you're starving, as it will deplete your health.
• If you want to go fast and not focus on playing or consuming many things, refrain from using the Black Hole ability.
• Since Cosmic Alan Boost regenerates slowly, consider using pets such as Super Steve, which can recharge your boost 25% quicker.
• Make sure you don't bump at submarines or get bitten by enemy sharks when you use your black hole ability because it might crash your ability to eat and you won't be able to eat any prey.This is most likely a bug that needs to be fixed.

Trivia

• The comics is based on the "Frozen Alan Easter Egg" that can be found within the background of the caves of the Arctic Ocean.
• Apart from potentially being the strongest shark in the game, Cosmic Alan was a shark from Hungry Shark Evolution, which already had an evolved form named Aaron, the Destruktor.
• To unlock all apex sharks at once, you need a total of 83,000 pearls. Currently, this cost is almost impossible to reach, considering the fact that you might barely earn more than 50 to 70 pearls and barely survive for 7 and a half minutes in extinction levels.
• Prior to Quantum's update, Cosmic Alan had the highest speed stat in the game.
• A loading screen tip says: "Is Cosmic Alan even from our universe?" This implies that it is unknown if he is from our universe or if he's just an alien. He is also the second creature in the series with unknown origins, with the first being Behemoth.
  • Cosmic Alan's origins are revealed in a special comics edition. It is revealed that he is the Original Alan, Destroyer of Worlds from Hungry Shark Evolution. His mission was to stop his son, Alan Junior, from destroying dwarf planets in space. However, Alan Junior eventually escapes and is drawn towards Earth, landing near the the seas of Glutwell Corp's system. There, he is frozen by a massive ship belonging to Glutwell Corp, causing him to drift near the Arctic Ocean. During this time, Alan Junior's eyes emit a bright-light that catches the attention of Cosmic Alan on his own planet. Cosmic Alan responds to the signal, deploying his Black Hole Sun ability to locate Alan Junior. As he arrives at the scene and sees him frozen, Cosmic Alan becomes enraged and decides to head towards Glutwell HQ, leaving him frozen for a period of time.
• But despite the inclusion of this comic edition, it remains uncertain whether the one who transformed is Alan, Destroyer of Worlds, or Alan Junior, and whether Cosmic Alan is indeed the father or the son. The official Hungry Shark is yet to confirm this. However it seems most likely it's the original Alan.
• If no blood mode is on (which skips the opening mouth cutscene), Alan will start the game floating above water.
