Echo (Ichthyosaur) is a "shark" in Hungry Shark World which has a special ability to warn you about approaching hazards, mines, evil sharks and more. His size tier is large (L). He has incredibly high speed. Despite his stats saying he has a max speed of 252, he can go faster than the Great White Shark, Megalodon and Big Momma and almost the speed of Mr. Snappy. He has a good amount of health. This shark is the best in the Large Tier group, but he can only be unlocked once you have all 3 large sharks at 100% growth. He also has special abilities: he survives out of water as long as in it, he flips in the air, and jumps very high. he also makes the same sound as the Blue Whale. He is an Ophthalmosaurus, a type of marine reptile reaching lengths of 6 m (20 ft). Echo is albino, but has some yellow and pink, plus purple eyes. Also, he has teeth which run down from the sides of his mouth to the underneath of his eyes. He has a bite on his tail (presumably due to a Blacktip). He is the fastest special shark. He can breathe on land, although he flaps around on land like the Killer Whale, he does not go very fast due to the fact Ophthalmosaurus can’t lay eggs on land, or lay eggs in that matter, rather giving live birth in water, much like other prehistoric marine reptiles such as pliosaurs and mosasaurs.

The closer Echo gets to a dangerous object, the bigger the warning sign becomes.

Pros and Cons

Pros

• So fast the camera sometimes struggles to catch up
• Best stats out of his tier
• Similar abilities to Killer Whale, which is nice because he can move on land easier.
• Warns you about danger, similar to how Buddy does
• Very useful at distance contests (if equipped properly)

Cons

• Annoying ability if you are deliberately approaching danger or many mines are nearby
• Kind of hard to get
• Extremely difficult missions
• Most expensive in his group
• Harder to level up than Nurse Shark.

Trivia

• For more information with his history, Echo's genus appeared in the BBC program Walking With Dinosaurs.
• It is unknown if this is exclusive to this shark, but he can have 2 laser cannons. Or it may just be a cosmetic design.
• Echo is one of the fewer species to have a rare type of distinguishable ability being lesser known by people making Echo loved by the community.
