The Kraken is a new ''shark'' added in a recent Hungry Shark Evolution Update (June 2, 2020).

Appearance

This "shark" is not a shark, but a giant squid. His tentacles are blue with lighter blue spots, and they turn white when enemy sharks are nearby. His eyes are yellow with thin vertical pupils. His fins are magenta and the spikes between his fins are dark blue.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

• Massive health
• Extreme bite power
• Fast when tentacle drill is activated
• Does not take long for a gold rush
• Can break boats because of ability
• Tentacle Saw during gold rush
• Whips of chaos whip prey to death
• Can switch colors when close to sharks, warning if larger sharks are nearby
• Can eat (almost) everything including Luminite
• Breaks rocks when Whips of chaos is activated
• The delay when it crushes boats doesn't have health drain.
• Overpowered abilities

Cons:

• Has a large heath drain even with Baby Kraken
• Boost is not very large and runs out quickly
• Costs a lot to upgrade (same as Moby and higher)
• Expensive to buy with coins and gems
• Low Mission Reward (same as Moby Dick only)
• Ridiculously high score (650,000,000) required for super mission if you don't equip anything.
• Not immune to toxic barrels unlike Sharkjira, Luminite and Moby Dick
• Tentacle saw is only activated during gold rush
• There is a delay when it crushes boats.

Trivia

• This is the sixth creature to not be a shark in HSE (others being: Natasha the Narwhal, Moby Dick, Mr. Snappy (Mosasaurus), Big Daddy (Dunkleosteus) and Leo (Liopleurodon))
• It is currently the 3rd biggest shark.
• It was released on June 2, 2020 after being teased on May 29th, 2020 with a video called "Lying In Wait". Fans quickly guessed it was the colossal squid or the Shark-topus before its reveal.
• Unlike the colossal squid in HSW it has 2 eyes, well real giant squids have 2.
• Even though succeeded by Luminite it can still eat him.
• When he dies, his eye pupils disappear (similar to Big Daddy).
• Although he is a giant squid, his appearance is much different.
• His length of 15.5 meters, indicates that this kraken is a giant squid. FGOL said that this is a giant squid. These squids exist. The only difference between a real kraken and the mythic is that the real is 15.5 meters whule the mythic is 1.5.5 kilometers.
• Some people believe that the kraken is better than Luminite. Some say this is true and others say this is wrong.
• He costs the same as Luminite.
