Luminite is the 6th strongest shark in Hungry Shark Evolution (after Magmajira, Abyssaurus Rex, Behemoth, Sharknarok and Behellmouth). He has different abilities and a unique method of boosting.
Cost[]
Luminite can be bought for 750,000 coins if your Kraken is at his maximum level or early for 900 Gems (125 Gems on discount for 85%, however the actual rate is estimated to be 86.1%)
Appearance[]

The overall appearance of the Luminite. Notice how the dark blue on his body becomes lighter toward his face.
Luminite has a distinct appearance that resembles an eel, but with notable features that sets him apart. His head is adorned with a rectangular blade, while additional fins adorn his tail and mouth. The head has a deep blue hue that gradually fades into lighter shades of blue, with six green fins adding a unique touch to his overall appearance. In the later versions, he had developed another dorsal fin.

The original edited art, the Narralliclyus by Jose De la Torre
Luminite was initially created by Jose De la Torre, who is known for designing fan-made sharks and mutated versions of sharks. The shark's appearance was similar to his current design in the game, albeit with a slightly darker coloration. De la Torre has also created a channel that is in contrast to traditional Hungry Shark content, showcasing various fan-made designs and concepts: https://www.youtube.com/@Liunite/about

Abilities[]
The following are special abilities exclusive to Luminite:

Luminite using his Horn Blade Ability.
- Horn Blade (Original): The Horn Blade Ability is a boost-activated ability that involves Luminite swiping his horn before boosting. This ability was formerly included in the game as Stage 1 of the ability. (Note: This has been recently removed due to being deemed a cosmetic annoyance with no significant in-game benefits. The creators of Hungry Shark Evolution have made the decision to remove the ability, and it is uncertain if it will ever be reintroduced into the game in the future.)

Luminite using the Horn Blade Ability to sink further down.
- Horn Blade: The horn blade ability, once originally known as the horn dash, allows him to swiftly dash forward, devouring any prey it touches. He grants a powerful boost and enhanced speed, such as jumping at an incredibly high altitude. Making him really good for hunting and maneuvering in the game.

While gold rush is present, Luminite is able to activate his Rays of Extinction.
- Rays Of Extinction: When activated, the Rays of Extinction ability causes Luminite to shoot powerful rays of radiation from his horn, which incinerate prey and yield double points. This ability is triggered automatically during Gold Rush mode. The rays of extinction are similar to Sharkjira's atomic breath and can cause toxic barrels to explode, which kills everything around them and yields double points. However, like Sharkjira's atomic breath, the rays of extinction do not provide points for killing enemy sharks, but they do provide points for destroying planes, flying great whites, and Robo sharks. Despite this limitation, the ability remains a powerful tool for gaining more scores.

Luminite using his Heart Beat Ability.
- Heart Beat: When activated, the Heart Beat ability causes Luminite to release a shockwave from his heart, which instantly kills everything in the surrounding area (except Shark Invaders). This ability can be activated by pressing the skill button when it is full, which requires the shark to consume enough food to charge it completely. Once activated, the Heart Beat ability is a powerful tool for clearing out a large number of preys.

Luminite using his luminescence ability.
- Luminescence: When his health is low, his fins change color to warn players who may not be closely monitoring the health bar. This change in coloration serves as a visual cue to players, indicating that their shark needs to be fed or is at risk of dying.
Luminite is also able to bounce and up and down on land using his 8 fins, similar to the Kraken (Cephalopoid Shark). On top of that, when he sustains critical heat damage he will still be able to devour prey similar to the Abyssaurus Rex.
Pros and Cons[]
Pros:[]
- Fast with horn dash/blade.
- Very powerful charge ability. (Heart Beat)
- Rays of extinction is also very powerful and kills a lot of prey, giving 2x points.
- Immune to toxic barrels like Sharkjira, Moby Dick, Magmajira, Abyssaurus Rex, Behemoth, and Sharknarok.
- Can ''crawl'' on land
- Rays of extinction and heart beat can be used together, killing A LOT of enemies.
- Luminescence will warn you when your health is low, good for players who don’t pay attention to health.
- Has very high health (475 hp).
- Very good stats and abilities.
- Relatively easy missions.
- Although some people think otherwise, Horn Blade ability is superior to Kraken’s Tentacle Drill, as it moves faster and spears prey much easier, and it kills some prey along with Horn Dash
- Recommended to buy as he can get very good scores if used correctly
Cons:[]
- Horn Blaze ability make Luminite hard to control, eat and easily get bump into rock
- Extremely fast health drain, even with Baby Lumi.
- Heart Beat ability is weak, it takes long time to activate, small radius and doesn't kill Shark Invaders
- Weak Horn Blade ability, since it doesn't kill bigger enemy sharks, and doesn't kill invader sharks in one hit, unlike Kraken's Tentacle Drill.
- Costs a lot to upgrade (Same as Moby Dick and stronger.)
- Rays of extinction give no points when killing enemy sharks, similar to Sharkjira's atomic breath. It is unknown if this is a glitch or not.
- Ridiculous score needed to complete the super mission (750,000,000), and the super mission gives a very low reward, only 10.000 coins. This is possibly a glitch.
- Luminite's body structure tends to make his hitbox smaller, meaning the bite radius, range very low.
Tips[]
- Don't move excessively during gold rush, or you will trigger Luminite's mouth to eat with his rays of extinction still going meaning you might miss some prey during gold rush.
- Use Heart Beat ability when being bitten by bigger sharks. As the activate time will give Luminite some seconds of invincible, defeat the enemy easier
Missions[]
Luminite has relatively easy missions such as "Shark Slayer" [kill 10 big sharks (>10m) using horn blade ability while boosting], but he also has hard missions such as "I'm blue, Daba Dee" (keep your vitals above 50% at least for 20 minutes).
Trivia[]
- It is presumably known that the Horn Dash is the new Horn Blade ability mostly due to the fact that it still captions "HORN BLADE" when activating it and making the same sound. This was later fixed in the later versions.
- The mission "Wrath of Poseidon" is a reference of a Greek god of the sea and the brother to Zeus.
- The mission "Shark Slayer" is possibly a reference to the manga series named "Demon Slayer" which involves superhuman characters who use solar blades that kills supernatural demons, as it used the Horn Blade ability.
- The shark "Luminite" is a fan-made, being one of the first community sharks.
- The original/community name was Narrallyclyus before it, being decided to be named as Luminite in-game and replaced with an "i" instead of a "y".
- Upon initial release, a bug was present where dying while boosting with Luminite would soft-lock the game, with the only solution being to force close the game and lose all progress made during that round. This was later fixed in version 8.3.0.
- Luminite seems to have the most glitches than any other shark in Hungry Shark Evolution, if not the entire series.
- FGOL has posted on twitter that there are T-shirts with Luminite on them celebrating the first community shark.
- The mission "I'm Blue Daba Dee" is a reference to the song with a similar name, Blue (Daba Dee).
- The super mission gives 10.000 coins only, like Behemoth.
- His name is based on Luminescence.
- Luminite is the largest shark in the "game" according to his Shark Info, being 16.5 meters large (Despite his size in-game).
- A glitch occurs in which his boosting sound repeatedly plays, even if Luminite isn't boosting, with no stopping until the game ends. This was later fixed.
- He shares a name with the Terraria crafting item Luminite.
