One badass extinct shark.

— In-game description.

The Megalodon is the first !! shark in Hungry Shark World.[1] He is available for purchase by coins once the player eats enough to unlock him. He can be purchased with 250,000 coins or 500 gems.

Description[]

The Megalodon is a powerful !! shark. Like other !! sharks, he can equip up to 3 pets at a time and has the ability to break purple crystal walls. During a gold rush, his points multiplier increases to 8X, allowing for significant point accumulation.

The Megalodon possesses incredible speed and devouring capabilities. He can quickly eat smaller sharks and submarines due to his significant boost in stats and larger size as a !! shark.

While the Megalodon does not directly appear in every Hungry Shark game, he indirectly makes an appearance. Games like Hungry Shark Trilogy and Hungry Shark: Night feature mega versions. However, in Hungry Shark Evolution, the Megalodon is now present.

The Megalodon resembles a larger and more intimidating version of the Great White Shark. His size is surprisingly massive compared to other !! tiered sharks. Also, the Megalodon has a baby counterpart named "Max" which can be obtained for 495 gems.

Abilities and Diet[]

In terms of abilities, the Megalodon does not possess any special abilities like some other !! sharks.

When it comes to his diet, the Megalodon has a wide range of prey he can consume. He can eat almost anything, except for red jellyfish, lion jellyfish, proximity mines, mega mines, and ultra mines (although he used to be able to consume ultra mines in the past).

Unlocking[]

The Megalodon can be unlocked in the game by using coins and fulfilling certain eating requirements.

Enemy Counterpart Locations[]

An Enemy Counterpart is found on many locations:

Pros and Cons[]

Pros:[]

  • Ability to eat most prey and all sharks.
  • High health pool.
  • Significant boost in stats compared to the previous tier.
  • Bite strength comparable to more powerful !! sharks when fully upgraded.
  • Relatively affordable to unlock, requiring less grinding.
  • Health drain is not as severe as other !! tier sharks.
  • Cheap Compared To Other !! Sharks.
  • Ability to consume loads of fish at once due to his large size.
  • Great performance overall even without special abilities.

Cons:[]

  • Vulnerability to larger mines despite his size.
  • Difficulty fitting through narrow cracks and potentially getting stuck in smaller areas.
  • Moderate health drain, although still relatively fast.
  • Is the only !! Tier shark who has no special abilities.
  • Can't eat Mega Mines along with other !! sharks unlike in HSE where he can.

Tips[]

  • The Megalodon is huge, so make the most of it by eating lots of enemies at once to get more points and health.
  • Even though the Megalodon is strong, big mines can still destroy you. Avoid them to stay alive.
  • Because you're so big, it's hard to fit through small spaces. Pay attention and choose your path wisely.
  • During a gold rush, you get lots of points. Try to eat valuable prey and avoid dangerous things to get even more points.
  • Since he is the first !! Sharks, save coins and upgrade your Megalodon's stats to be faster, stronger, and healthier. It'll help you do better in the game.
