Sharknarok is a male "shark" and the last standard shark in Hungry Shark Evolution added in version 9.5.0. He is currently the strongest standard shark in the game, known for his ability to create lightning storms.

Cost

Sharknarok can be bought for 850,000 coins , although he can only purchased this way if Behemoth is at his maximum level. This makes him the most expensive shark in the game. He can also be purchased early for 900 Gems (125 Gems on discount for 85% on some newer sharks, however the actual rate is 86.1%).

Powers and Abilities

Sharknarok can eat everything in the game and has the health of 725, the second-highest health in the game before Magmajira with 750.

Abilities

Sharknarok's Awaken the Thunder ability, releasing vertical lightning strikes on any living prey it detects.

• Awaken the Thunder: Sharknarok can summon a lightning storm by pressing the active ability button. Lightning strikes kill all prey on screen, sea and land and damage shark invaders continuously until its duration ends. Lightning strikes also stun shark invaders for a short period.

Sharknarok's Blade of Vengeance, axes that conduct electricity that instantly disintegrates prey upon contact.

• Blades of Vengeance: During Gold Rush, Sharknarok will summon a pair of axes that will swing in an orbit around him. The ring deals additional damage around Sharknarok's close proximity. Previously, the axes just circle down in one spot, but as to now at a recent update it spins left and right around Sharknarok.

Sharknarok crawling steadily on land and boosting with a glowing state.

• Crawling, Glow: Just like some sharks before him, Sharknarok can crawl on land without taking extra damage. He can also activate ancient symbols with glowing eyes and crack-like fissures in his body that is light blue in color when boosting, similar to Behemoth. But this also is just a visual effect while boosting.

Like his predecessors all the way down to Leo, he can break cracked rocks in the map. As well as having a flexible body similar to Nessie that can merely avoid attacks/projectiles.ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ

Appearance

Sharknarok bares resemblance to that of a big sea serpent similar to Jörmungandr from God of War, and in which he can make his body glow and show runes, his main body appears to that of a reddish-pink that has circular red spots with it fading to a dark blue tail and his back that appears as mohawk-shaped dorsal fins with his head having two viking-like horns facing forward which his face strikes a resemblance to Aaron, the Destruktor with a lower jaw that is peach in color and a white/peach beard.

Pros

• Has the second highest health in the game with 725 points
• Very agile and can avoid attacks
• Missions aren't too hard to complete
• Awaken the Thunder lasts a very long time
• Blades of Vengeance sometimes stay after Gold Rush is over
• Immune to Toxic Barrels (Similar to Luminite, Sharkjira, Moby Dick, Magmajira, Abyssaurus Rex, and Behemoth)

Cons

• Fast health drain without Baby Sharksen
• Very expensive to purchase, costing 850,000 coins
• Has very low boost.
• Sharknarok's Super Mission isn't worth it and only rewards you 10,000 coins
• Blades of Vengeance does not instantly eliminate shark invaders

Tips

• Try activating Awaken the Thunder once Blades of Vengeance is activated to rack up a lot of points.
• Activate Awaken the Thunder after Blades of Vengeance have been in action for 3-4 seconds to make the axes appear for a slightly longer duration.
• Equip the Fireworks or any item that increases boost speed, equip an item to increase max boost and an item to increase boost recharge speed to maximize his boost.
• Save your boost, Sharknarok doesn't have that much.
• Activate Awaken the Thunder whenever you're low on health.
• Just keep swimming forward whenever a submarine attacks, submarine torpedoes bounce right off Sharknarok’s head. Once close enough, destroy the submarine by boosting.

Trivia

• Sharknarok is based on Norse mythology and bears a resemblance to Jörmungandr, which is often depicted as a horned serpent.
• Sharknarok's name is a reference to the Norse term Ragnarök, which is the Norse understanding of the end of times.
• Two of his missions are identical to some missions of Sharkjira and Big Daddy. Alpha Predator is identical to the mission of the same name for Sharkjira and Crab Surprise for Big Daddy, and Flying Machines is identical to Shark Ex Machina and Chopper Chomper.
• His pet, Baby Sharksen, follows the Scandinavian naming convention of patronymic surnames.
• He was previously imprisoned in ice, as shown in his trailer which means something or warriors trapped him in the ice.
• In promotional posts, he is sometimes referred to as Viking Shark and Baby Sharksen is referred to as Baby Viking. His enemy counterpart is referred to as Enemy Viking in-game.
• Sharknarok only has 3 abilities whereas his predecessors down to Kraken have 4.
• Similar to Behemoth, his eyes glow when boosting.
• The Lightning Storms turn anything they strike red, briefly before destroying them.
• A bug exists in which Sharknarok's Super Mission does not show its requirements even after completing the Standard Missions, this bug is later fixed in latest version.
• Sharknarok is the second largest shark in the game according to his Shark Info, only being dwarfed by Luminite.
• Sharknarok's body animations may freeze when playing as him. This is a glitch that can only be fixed by going on land.
• Sometimes, Sharknarok rarely will turn red after getting hit, also to fix this bug is getting hit by each other.
